Is there such a thing though?

Aristotle, of course, never used it and "ta meta ta physika" would be the
things after the physical things. If he thought the term appropriate, knowing
him, he would have used it.

In Oxford, when the Waynflete Professorship opened it was "Metaphysical
Philosophy", which now has become
tautologous, for surely "Physical Philosophy" is no longer philosophy, but
physics.

So where are _we_, I mean, Grice, and his mentee, R. Paul?

Cheers,

JL
