Let's first break that molecule down into its component atomic elements, in good
Cartesian fashion.
"Educational philosophy:" Philosophical examinations of curriculum, pedagogical
practices and school governance policies.
"The philosophy of educational philosophy:" Critical and constructive inquiry
into the assumptions, presuppositions and justificatory warrant involved in
philosophical examinations of (see above.)
"The history of the philosophy of educational philosophy:" Historical studies
into the analyses of the assumptions, presuppositions and justificatory warrant
involved in examinations of (see above.) Being historical, such inquiries are
empirical and possess no resources for the critique of philosophical claims.
"The philosophy of the history of the philosophy of educational philosophy:"
Philosophical analyses of philosophical critiques of historical accounts of
extant philosophies of edcuational philosophy. A kind of meta-analysis of
historiographical claims.
But I am compelled to ask: what is the actual problem here? And whose problem
are we really discussing?
