[lit-ideas] Re: TUESDAY'S FORCAST

Cool it Carol. There is no climate change. No pun intended. At least that's
what the know nothings tell us.
I was astounded to hear that it was 100 degrees ever in Seattle yesterday.

In Michigan and neighboring states, the weather discussion revolves around the
fact that this is the summer that wasn't.
Also, it rains a lot. The frequent humidity in the summer here, though not
usually as bad as in the South, is rare. In the month of July we only had one
day that was as high as 86F.

Last winter, it was snow, snow and more snow, but never got below 0 except once
or twice, and then just barely. South of us in Ohio, Kentucky etc. the weather
was so bad that we decided not to risk driving down.

But then, is there really climate change? What I hear from the people I hate
is no, and even if there is, nothing is to be done about it. In the meanwhile,
our further South brethren are in drought.

Now about this God thing.....

Would somebody please TURN OFF THE SUN! Jeez, 107 degrees in Portland,
Oregon? I'm cursed. Cursed, I tell ya. Mike, follow my moves. I'm clued into
global warming, big time. Hell, maybe I AM global warming...

    WEATHERING THE WEATHER

    It's uncomfortably cool in Memphis,
    Life has almost stopped.
    The sun's turned suddenly gentle
    and service call have dropped,
    business is down
    way down,
    way, way down.
No AC's are breaking under strain.
    Can you feel my pain?

    Our bodies struggle to maintain
    ninety-eight point six degrees
    when it's only eighty-five outside.
God has his reasons, I know,
I just wish that He would slow
    down his retribution against mankind
for fucking up his grand design.
