Something hokey about the way Gershwin's played by Loki,
Or the way Zeus lets loose on Beethoven & Brahms.
Some say Hermes outraces Chopin's charms,
Athena battles Bach or Handel,
Mars is armed for Prokofiev's late sonatas,
Hera's more for Scriabin than her daughters,
And Debussy's tunes belong to Neptune.
Yet, bumped up the list, Hercules conquers Liszt;
Invited to the party, Ulysses untangles Scarlatti,
though none can stomach Chronos' tempi in Clementi,
Cupid has the proper heart to bring off Mozart.
Thor finds the whole thing a bore
so Hades finishes with George Ades.
