I *cannot* (even when I try) take 'Welt' seriously philosophically. Let
alone 'world'. It's such a, as Cicero would have it, a _virile_ concept.

The world is the vir- something: the _human_ experience at its _worst_!
mundus is bad enough. Kosmos at least gives "Joan Rivers" ('cosmetic
surgery').
And then Witters _would_ say obscure meant to be meant as 'profound' things
like "Die Welt is the Totalitaet der Sachverholden". (The world is the
totality of _things_ -- plus one).
