JL's version could be an acting exercise, each stanza performed differently. For example: * "Those worms ARE very painful." [sudden confirmation of what had been stated] * "THOSE worms are very painful." [Why did you mix them in with the painless worms?] * "Those [ha-ha] worms [ha] are very painful." [Speaker referring to something else as "worms."]
