A Sirius Poem
Beauty is still possible.
Yes, still possible,
despite the goings on.
Despite the fact that
a head lands in your lap
as you sit peacefully
sipping your coffee
in a sidewalk cafe.
Such a pretty face.
Pretty, yes,
and completely unscathed
expect
for the lack of torso
and accompanying limbs,
yes,
such a pretty face.
