I'd be interested to hear from North Americans on the list whether they have used it. Maybe it's a generational change, too pompous for young folk?
I'm both pompous and not young, and I've never used it. Heck, I've never even HEARD of it! (I did hear a new word this week: "mononomous." Think Madonna. Think Cher. Think Jesus. Think Liberace. (Wow! What a strange list of names!)
