The advantage of the Treo 750 over the 650 is the faster browser speed. When browsing websites (while driving down the freeway at 85 mph...), the pages pop up on the 750 as fast as it does via DSL on your home computer. On the 650, you have to think whether you want to open a page because it'll take 20-30 seconds (or more). So if you want to do lots of web browsing while walking around, the 750 is a better choice.
Both 650 and 750 have Bluetooth. It's a radio wave-based connection that covers about 30 feet. Use it mostly for connecting to a wireless headset. I have one, but I still use the headset with wire; easier to use.
Both do SMS (text messaging), which is very widespread among the under-28 crowd. I use it quite a bit; we can text-chat during confs and meetings, etc. And yes, I've done SMSing while driving. Not recommended.
Otherwise, they're pretty much the same. If you can afford it, go for the 750. yrs, andreas www.andreas.com----- Original Message ----- From: <JimKandJulieB@xxxxxxx>

I've been perusing PDA/cell phones again. Some time ago someone recommended the Treo 650. It appears that there is a new Treo, 750. I like the looks of it -- camera, web-browser, e-mail, interface with desktop computer data, organizer, phone, all in one..... It uses Bluetooth which I know nothing about ..... Does anyone use that and/or a Treo? Would you mind sharing what you think of either of them? I can read all the reviews I want, but I'd like to know from someone who uses it and has some consistent experience with it. I figure there are enough tech types on here <g>. I've been messing around more with Outlook and find that it has speech recognition capabilities as well as handwriting recognition. Anyone use these and know how well they work? I'll play with that myself, but I don't want to put a lot of time into it if it doesn't work well. Thanks! Julie Krueger technologically wayyyyyyy behind
