I bought some of those "curly" light bulbs a coupl years ago, thinking that
as I like light (ok, I'm addicted to light; I wither nearly to death in the
grey winter, and keep 4 100 watt bulbs in each of the two fixtures in my
family room) the "long-lasting" bulbs would save me money and the nuisance
of changing bulbs so often.
They didn't last one whit longer than the standard bulbs.
Someone illuminate me (no pun intended) -- are the "curly" "long-lasting"
bulbs that screw in to standard ballasts truly "fluorescent" bulbs?? My
only understanding of fluorescent light is the acquaintance with long,
tubular bulbs which I was told many decades ago could/would explode if you
just breathed wrong.

me; apparently it's inspired by all the decorating shows. For a brief
instant once upon a time less was more... Simplify, simplify ...

I thought I was the only one with that particular closet!! I feel oddly
comforted. And disturbed.

Sorting through a decade of clutter in those closets -- Spring Cleaning,
don'tcha know. However, by the time the clutter is sorted, organized, much
disposed of (my trash man hates me I'm sure), there will be brand new
stock-piled clutter to take its place. Remind me -- what happened to the
notion of simplicity? Oh yeah. Kids.
