A.A. I don't take Viagra or Cialis or any of the others and don't
particularly care if they take it or them off the market or not.

A.A. The operative words are "so far". They're basically the same
molecule, so maybe they're safer, mabye they're not. My point all along
was that these drugs are first put on the market, then they're found
unsafe. The industry does its own safety testing, and with a mega
blockbuster drug, safety concerns have to wait. The FDA essentially rubber
stamps what industry gives them. But we've been here before. I accept
that you think this is an acceptable state of affairs.

Regarding having a stify at 80, ED drugs are peddled to younger and young
men or haven't you seen the commercials? Personally, if someone has ED, I
think it's a good indication that they've got stiff arteries, so they're
treating the wrong problem. On the other hand, the statins are
blockbusters too and are probably overprescribed and not without risk. I
recently read that high dose niacin, long thought to be a safe first line
treatment for high cholesterol also does damage to the retina. ED drugs
seem to affect the optic nerve.
