Barnett's comments hit close to home, eh Andreas? Since you chose to answer with more ad hominem there isn't much to say except to address something you continue to write - that I want the U.S. to attack other countries. I don't want that. I have posted about possible scenarios in dealing with Iran and their nuclear ambition but I hope that the current regime will topple before it comes to that. However, if there is a replay of the 1988 Tanker War the United States will be the de facto force responsible for keeping oil flowing through the Strait of Hormuz because we are the only navy left that can project its power literally anywhere in the world. I know you prefer to think of conservatives as warmongers but it doesn't help you in understanding where we're coming from to make things up to fit your worldview.

Well I’m sure certain people loved the General’s ad hominem attack and relished the use of the chickenhawk trope by an actual man of the uniform, such an “argument” doesn’t bear evidence to a confident or nimble intellect. Rather than defend his ideas, Odom tried to bully his way into winning an argument.

Brian, you want the US to attack other countries, yet you won't do anything about it. You won't go to war. You won't enlist. You won't even explain why you won't enlist.

You are a bully, talking loud in the classroom about how you'll beat up others in the playground. You want to push us around. Yet the fact is that you won't do anything about it. Whether it's cowardice, or you're just talking nonsense, or you know that new kid might beat you up, I don't know. But the fact is nobody believes what you say, not even yourself.

So, please either explain why you won't enlist or stop talking nonsense.
