I wonder how much this is a function of your local culture? I have wondered if that has something to do with 
recent reports (I'm sorry I can't put my finger on the source) that
men in the UK have the worst sex lives in Europe.
The report came about 4-6 months ago. It said that British women had the lowest sex drive in Europe. 

No wonder British men are so frustrated.
