>> I don't want America to be a superpower. I want it to be like me : )

You are a superpower. Deal with it.

On the other hand, your ability to compare Bush to Hitler, to equate US Cold War tactics to Iranian involvement in Lebanon, Iraq, and elsewhere -- is both ahistorical and breathtaking.

>>It surprises me that you don't see that your calling Amadinejad a psychopath is every bit as over the top as my calling Bush a psychopath.

I didn't call the Loon a psychopath. I called his version of Allah a psychopath. Auden, remember? A poem set in Manhattan?

What huge imago made
a psychopathic god ...

And further from the Auden poem:

From the conservative dark
Into the ethical life
The dense commuters come,

[Soon to be incinerated by followers of a different psychopathic take on Allah.]

Repeating their morning vow;
'I will be true to the wife,
I'll concentrate more on my work,'
And helpless governors wake
To resume their compulsory game:
Who can release them now,
Who can reach the dead,
Who can speak for the dumb?
