[lit-ideas] Re: New Year's Resolutions

I was waiting for my husband to come home. The house was done, I had nothing
to do. I usually read something while the laptop sits on the end table. It
looks like I'm sitting in front of the computer waiting for posts to come when
in fact it's only on while I do other things and I check occasionally and
respond. So maybe it was four hours, maybe it was all day, but in fact it was
only a few minutes. But you're right. This is like an addiction for me. I
suppose if one has to have an addiction, it may as well be to writing posts.
But, it's gotten to where I've taken so many beatings that I'm black and blue
and don't want to do it anymore. Nobody responds. Nobody kids. They just
tell me nobody wants to talk to me, that I have character defects. And they're
right. Clearly nobody wants to be bothered. So be it. Oh well whatever. I
had company for a few hours and they left and I have chocolate cheesecake left
over. We're watching the movie Six Characters in Search o
f an Author tonight. We don't go out for new year's. It's too cold and there
are too many nuts on the road. Well, whatever. Take care.

It just struck me that it's rather peculiar that one will spend various parts
of 4 hours parrying with multiple interlocutors and at the same time, one would
complain that 90 seconds is an inordinate time to 'waste' on something that was
a priori 'not that funny'.

if you don't mind me saying so, you're priorities are way fucked up.
