While I bow to Eric's soupy-era knowledge, I must query one of his assertions namely, "10 Barbs = 1 Capriol.." As anyone who has watched cooking on the telly knows, Caprials (correct spelling) are measured not by reference to light, but to time in the Womens' Open Egg and Spoon race.


In the famous Twing Mothers' Sack Race (see Wodehouse, P.G. et al, "Ten Types of Racing Ambiguity," BobsUruncl Press, 1999) ten Barbs came *close* to equaling one Caprial only because Steggles had slipped an excellent flan into Caprial's sack.
