your immigration policies and your explicitly "integrationist" beliefs and
practices (we're probably more integrated, though, in some ways).
That is true. And the Muslim community has revitalized the area in which they
settled. And now that there are second and third generations, they are
spreading themselves around to various suburbs. Which is great because then we
get a very mixed populations in the schools, where they can get to know each
other.

yes. I live in a "mixed" neighbourhood and very near a block of
streets whose corner shops are almost entirely Muslim. Some of the main
streets' shops are too.
It isn't like that (isn't as the article describes it) here, but I
assume parts of London could be.
5 Cardiff men were arrested in December in an anti-terrorist operation.
(I'd forgotten, I remembered just now.) I don't know what's happened about
that.

This is four or five pages long. I was searching for an article I
had read in "Newsweek" about a couple threatened in East London for holding
hands. This is not it, but similar. I could not locate that one.
We live near the largest Muslim community in North America. To the
best of my knowledge, which is good because I have Muslim friends, none of this
goes on here.
