Someone somewhere on the planet must be able to explain why duct tape will
rip a hole in fabric, hold a tailpipe on a muffler, and strengthen my
doberman's chain to the point that even he can't break it, but post-it
note-tape sticks to cardboard better. I'm comforted, at least, that it's
not just *my* cardboard boxes which behave so. At one semi-desperate point
trying to seal a cardboard box the other day I flirted with the notion of
spreading super-glue on the sticky side of the duct tape. What stopped me
was a visual of what happens when I use duct tape merging with what happens
when I use superglue. It wasn't pretty. What is foil tape? Does it work
well for situations where there is alternate heat & cool and moisture?
Julie Krueger
(In my moment of indecision, my daughter nabbed the roll of duct-tape and
proceeded to make a wallet out of it. Anyone else wonder what the
decomposition life of duct tape is like? I'm picturing landfills....)
