[Something about metaphor] "speaks to an inherent human inability to
distinguish reality from fantasy..."
Many real events cannot but serve as simultaneous metaphor . It's the
nature of "I."
Heard an odd sound this afternoon.
I opened my window to find a small sparrow caught in the thick green
vines that cover the bricks. The little bird was terrified that I had
noticed it. It flapped and trebled in distress. In the background I was
scolded by several other birds. Took a scissors and cut the vine segment
that tangled its leg. It was still tangled, so I laid it flat on the
dripstone of the sill.
It freed itself and flew away in the most perfect straight line.
Feeling rather pleased,
Der Vogelfaenger bin Ich ja
