Maybe Dinu Lupati talks to William Kapell in paradise?
William Kapell made one of the best recordings of the
Mephisto Waltz #1 I've ever heard, and one of the more
interesting and aggressive takes on the Prokofiev Third
Concerto. He was considered the best American pianist of his
generation. In the early 1950s, Kapell died in an airplane
crash. He was thirty-one.
