Not mine. I opposed the war as the violation of international law and
an unhealthy precedent for pre-emptive invasion without clear evidence
(a description more than amply demonstrated by the absence of the WMD
that were so central a part of whipping up national paranoia). But the
Lutheran in me agrees with Luther. If you must sin, sin boldly.

Trying to "manage" a war, where "manage" implies an effort to maximize
results on the cheap, while diverting substantial profits to cronies,
is sheer unadulterated crap. No surprise that we're now in the shitter.
