Ursula: The plural of anecdote is not 'data'.

The plural of anecdote is urban legend, at least in some areas north of Mason-Dixon. If you are overly fond of a particular brief account, you may be "anecdoting." And if you are too old to remember your brief account, you may be in your anecdotage. You may even need an antidote to my anecdote dotation.
