Reminds me of an istory class at Christian Brothers University (though only
a lowly college when I attended) taught by Professor Damek Kusner who would
call roll every morning, no doubt in response to some Eastern European
hunger for order and who pronounced fellow student Gary Fuchs name as "Geary
Fucks."  "Yes!"  I would reply loudly and proudly.  My name was the very
next one on the list and I would answer with a wimpy falsetto: "Here".
Professor Kusner was never the wiser.  Gary Fuchs (he pronounced his name
'fooks') seldom (if ever) went to class and to this day has no idea he owes
his passing that istory course to me.  Moral:  you never know what good
you're doing in this world by just joking around.
