Correct me if I'm wrong, Lawrence, but as far as I can tell,
production of the DC-10 stopped in 1988.

'The 446th and final DC-10 rolled off the production line in December
1988 and was delivered to Nigeria Airways in July 1989. The DC-10 was
assembled at McDonnell Douglas's Douglas Products Division in Long
Beach, California.'

It isn't clear, from what you say above, when you last spoke with the
two 'Nigerian reps,' but if it was 'during the delivery of Nigeria Airways
last DC-10,' it would have been in 1989. Perhaps you kept in touch with
them over the years? 1989 was, by my calculation, 18 years ago. Things
may well have changed since then.
