This is what a couple of Nigerian Airways reps know:
"... small gangs of teenagers and young men can pretty much rob whomever they
like. They have a few spears, some knives, and every once in a while one will
have a gun, but it may or may not work...
When in fact the problem is massively armed vigiliantes/militias who target
the oil industry to the tune of costing Shell 20% of their daily production and
the possibility that they will stop offshore oil production, when in fact
Nigeria has the sweetest crude (needs the least processing) in the world.
Lawrence, you make up reality, or are a willing consumer of grossly distorted
and inaccurate reality, and then accuse others of sneering at your "facts".
Teenagers with spears and knives? Did you read the link that Robert sent?
What do your Nigerian friends think of the information contained in that link?
What do you think of the information contained in that link?

I don?t know, does anyone think a couple of Nigerian Airways reps know
as much about Nigeria as Irene? I have no doubt but that what the reps told
me was accurate. There was no point in their lying to me. But we had this
discussion during the time of the delivery of the last DC-10. When was that?
Perhaps around 1984 -1985.
