Well, Brian, there you go. I'm interested in how you intend to respond to
Andreas note. I have no time to respond to such a note, but perhaps you do.
Arthur Herman describes Ahmadinejad's threat to close the straits of Hormuz
if the UN imposes sanctions, but Andreas says that all we have to worry
about is what is happening now and since the UN has yet to impose sanctions
and Ahmadinejad has yet to close the straits . . . Alfred E. Newman and
Andreas say "what, me worry?"

And then there is Andreas' assessment of Herman's military proposal. Since
I actually read Herman's military proposal and Andreas obviously has not,
let me help you, Brian, by putting his statement into a logical framework:
He asks what Army we will use to conduct the military mission that Herman
describes as not requiring and Army.

I know what you're going to say, Brian. You are going to say that Andreas
should have stayed up late to read the article rather to play poker, but
that would be a cheep shot; so don't say that, Brian. I am interested in
how you are going to respond logically to Andreas illogical assessment of
Herman's article.

I am weaker than you, Brian, for I tend to get annoyed and even angry when
people do that to me. That is, when they respond to something I have
written as though they have read it when their response indicates that they
haven't, but you are better than that Brian. I sure you won't be annoyed or
angry; so I wait with interest to read what you will say.

The article, should Andreas wish to remedy his not having read it, is still
at http://www.commentarymagazine.com/cm/main/viewArticle.aip?id=10135

Nobody is currently endangering the flow, so Herman threatens to prevent
what isn't

happening?

We had an Xmas party tonight. After the dishes were cleared, we played
poker. One of the

guys made too many mistakes and very quickly, he lost all of his chips. As
the next hand was

dealt, he said he would win this round. Somebody said "and with what chips
will you be

betting?" :-)

As for Herman's war: And with what army will you do this? Read the Iraq
Study Group Report.

We are about to collapse militarily in Iraq. We have no more army to send to
Iraq or

anywhere. We can't start or fight any more wars. The USA is currently unable
to defend

itself.

Game over.
