Dr. Palma,
I live in Southern California very near the San Jacinto Mountains. In fact
I can see a finger of those mountains to the north out my study window,
perhaps two miles away. The river in the photos is the San Jacinto River
and it runs parallel to that finger. The only thing between the river and
the mountain is a road leading to the Soboba Indian Reservation (and
Casino).
I see that you work in South Africa. If you have lived there very long, you
are probably become very familiar with the Rhodesian Ridgeback.
