"intervention" (as in, "we need to perform an.....)  reasons obvious

"God said it, I believe it, that settles it."  reasons, again, obvious

(although that does remind me of a bumper sticker floated around 15 or so
years ago which I rather liked -- "Nuke the gay baby dolphins")
