Andreas Ramos:

"Eric has no excuses. If he believes what he says, then he should do
what he says."

John McCreery:

"This business has reached a point where concern for conventional
niceties is betrayal of basic humanity."

This is disappointing. I understood this list to be the gathering of
people interested in the discussion of literature and ideas. Not one of
us is in a position to judge another regarding how they live their
lives, and this list is certainly not the place to do it. I, for one,
do not subscribe to this list to have people screaming at me telling me
how I should live my life. If, as John and Andreas are now insisting,
this list is a place to violently attack people in order to abuse them
into changing their beliefs, I can no longer continue to subscribe. I
hope I am wrong.

Sincerely,

Phil Enns
