I have always wanted someone to explain to me the nuanced difference between
a Deist and Theist. Best I can make out, Theist is a more Western form.

The information in http://www.secweb.org/asset.asp?AssetID=369 isn't
inconsistent with the Habermas interview previously referenced. The
Habermas interview describes Flew to be a Theist, although Flew seems to
prefer the term "Deist." He is not a Christian, but neither is he any
longer an atheist -- although Richard Carrier, if I read him correctly,
hopes that his arguments will return Flew to the Atheistic fold.
