Yes.

It's not strong when a person is a child. They have just begun to brainwash 
the little tyke. They don't want anyone else to offer an alternative -- for 
Heaven's SAKE!!!

Arithmetic is not a debatable or controversial subject.

This could be debatable since the physicists can't even seem to agree on 
which thing to believe. But they don't generally get into relativity, 
quanta, wave/particle duality, stuperstrings etc. in elementary schools.

Since the politicians and special-interest groups have begun to object to 
everything -- just because.
