Daughters will be daughters. Mine (Kate) has accepted a three-month fellowship with Microsoft to sit in San Diego and think mathy things. This comes with a tantalizing list of company incentives and perks (including her favourite, hundreds of dollars for upgrades to her various bikes -- she was a road racer on the U.S. college circuit for many years).
