Writing requires the manipulation of semantic elements, including coding 
elements for breath pauses that can affect perceived meaning. The difference 
between a comma and a semi-colon was fought over, I've read, at the 
Constitutional convention.

It is not necessary to be a master, but you should at least have some 
competence.

Insects are specialized, and look where they are. Specialists are by definition 
idiots.
