Invasion and conquest by countries with armies. Local occupation armies fighting small groups of ex-hunter, ex-police and ex-military insurgents in the forests. Destruction of free press and imposed military censorship. Relocation camps. Slave armies. Destruction of libraries. Somewhat like Iraq only much worse. Somewhat like China under the Japanese. Somewhat like France under the Vichy.
