Thanks for this, Robert. There was a group of faculty here at Nipissing
(mostly humanities, but not all) who wanted, a few years ago, to develop
a program something like this, but it failed. One of the examples we
looked at was the Reed program. I've looked at Reed in Wikipedia and
been very impressed with the quirky traditions, both social and
academic. I suspect teaching there was (is?) a pleasure. Makes
Nipissing seem sterile and lost. But...every year I find a few gems
among the students even here. Makes it all worthwhile.
