You may ask why I'm doing this but see my next post. I would mention that the
title of this post is the title of a book I would strongly recommend both to
anyone who finds Dylan's lyrics impenetrable and anyone who perhaps is inclined
to read in what is not there: i.e. the people who don't really look at what is
going on and the people who do but misinterpret it - the people, that is, who
are the target of Weird Al's parody. The book is by Michael Gray and it is
scholarly but very entertainingly written.
