Brazilians, and Mexicans too I think, are very racist. They don't like "Indians" (their
counterparts to our Native Americans) and they stratify people by skin color, so it's not
surprising they need to feel superior to gringos. Brazil also has amazing violence.

Further, and this is amusing to me, Brazilians would refer to Mexicans
in their country as "gringos." As in "those gringos are straight from
Mexico City." Amusing to know the term is a democratic ausslander.
