Beautiful, eloquent and, I believe, as close to Truth on this matter
as we are likely to get. For those mathematically inclined, I offer
one additional image. Truth is the limit in relation to which all our
formulas are at best approximations. Good arguments approach it
asymptotically, but that is the best we can do.For those who prefer
scripture I offer these words from the second Isaiah: "The Lord said
to Cyrus the Persian, 'Shall the clay say to the potter what are you
making? Let the potsherd speak to the potsherd.'" All we shall ever
know are fragments.
