For pure ethylene glycol (in antifreeze it's diluted) the minimal lethal
dosage for cats is 1.4 ml per kg of body weight and for dogs 4.4 to 6.6
ml/kg of undiluted ethylene, so about a teaspoon could kill a seven
pound cat. As you can see it varies by species. You're probably right
about the amount that would be lethal to a human being. It would depend
on body weight (blood volume) but 4 oz. is probably sufficient.
There's a risk to kids as well as pets.
