Hmmmm .... Is that view not itself an absolute view?

----

It's more like recursion.

And I agree on everything P. A. Stone says about Sotomayor. She recently
said, "I can speak English. And Spanish. I asked my brother, who is younger.

          Can't you speak Spanish?

"I don't know: I never tried!" he replied." To the death row!"

Apparently, the siblings from the South Bronx, the male has a medical
practice in Syracuse, but does not take Medicare and the other -- that cater
for
the poor and the old. Blind justice, anyone?

--- I think the Brazilians are pretty confused. To start, with, are they
Hispanic? Surely not!

The problem with Hispanic is that even the Hispanics don't know about it. I
 did some research about this.

Today, I was reading about the origin of "Italy". "The country is named
"Italy" because of the great warrior, Italus; either that, or because there
were lots of oxen ('itali') in the land".

I mean, give me a break!

With Spain, it's even worse. The iberus, there's the River Ebro, Iberus,
and this gives IBERIA, which is the name now for the whole PENINSULA.

"Hispania" itself doesn't count -- For Catalonia does not consider itself
"Spanish". (My focus of research has been the Via Herculea, only).

So we have "Hispania", "Iberia" -- and the colonies: Argentina, etc.

Puerto Rico, being a military base, is a different _animal_. A total
different animal. It's colonialism galore. Hence the philosophical puzzles it
poses to Puerto Ricans: They are not Americans, but they are Americans, they
cannot vote Americans, but they are not non-Americans, and they are
non-American Americans. Very odd.

I think she will be a good judge. She was joking when she said that about
the 'wise Latina' -- and she seems less volatile than Camille Paglia who
would have anyone on death row regardless.

What I like about Sotomayor is that before becoming a judge, she worked for
 Fendi, the fashion-designers.

(Perhaps Geary can confide if Sotomayor is a lesbian? I see that Miss Bono
 is becoming a male tomorrow).

Cheers,
