Eve Black: You people are not worth the effort. The denial
is too strong. Rather than look at reality the way it is .
. . you rejoice in the beauty and wonder (or whatever you
said) of the world. That's consistent with denying there's
global warming, denying that spanking is harmful . . .
There are many things worse than spanking--such as being
forced by heat and smoke to jump 90 stories to the ground,
where your body turns into pink mist and a mangled pulp that
looks like stewed tomatoes trying to wear clothes. The
point being that a beautiful butterfly swirling around a
baby in its carriage is as much a part of life as sudden and
cruel deaths.
Denying the butterfly doesn't make you wiser or more
profound than someone who denies the shattered body. It just
makes you gloomier.
