The Zarqawi filth was also responsible for the death of the top United Nations envoy in Iraq, the Brazilian Sergio Vieira de Mello.

Vieira de Mello, one of the greatest UN diplomats ever, was involved in many UN peacekeeping operations--including the Balkans and East Timor. He was pushing a human rights agenda in Iraq, urging the US out as soon as possible.

His role in East Timor was probably what made him a target. The Islamists just loved that East Timor genocide, and resented his efforts in palliating it.
