Robert: Some weeks ago I tried the 12-year-old Macallan.
There was a clear difference between it and the 15-year old
(as well as a noticeable difference in price).
Macallan now seems very sharp for my taste, and single malts
seem way too sharp. In fact, hard liquor in general is way
too strong for me. If I want to drink, I may split a cold
bottle of Sauvingnon Blanc (Halls 2007 is super) or, very
rarely, get some Boddington's on tap. Champagne at celebrations.
I don't understand how you guys do it. Sturdy folk.
Patience. Or maybe I grow feeble as I age ...
