Ada-ada saja ide kaum kreasionis. Mereka ternyata tak ada matinya. Gempuran=
nya terhadap kaum evolusionis kini memasuki wahana wisata dan hiburan dalam=
 bentuk sebuah museum. Namanya: Museum of Creation. Berlokasi di Kentucky, =
AS, tiap penonton dikutip tiket 10 dollar AS (sekira Rp 90,000). Tak mau ad=
a klaim dan pemikiran orang bahwa sudah ada makhluk hidup sebelum Adam dan =
Hawa diciptakan Tuhan, maka berbagai macam model dinosaurus dalam ukuran ya=
ng sebenarnya pun dipajang di museum itu. Model makhluk raksasa yang diranc=
ang mantan karyawan Universal Studios ini lalu dijejer dengan patung sosok =
manusia, dan diberi keterangan bahwa dinosaurusdiciptakan pada tahun 6,000 =
Sebelum Masehi - tepat dengan perkiraan tahun dimana Tuhan menciptakan Adam=
 dan Hawa.=20

Padahal menurut para ilmuwan, berdasar hasil penelitian dari temuan fosil, =
makhluk berjuluk dinosaurus tersebut sudah berkeliaran di Bumi sejak 220 ju=
ta tahun lalu, kemudian punah sekira 63 juta tahun lampau.=20

Sebagaimana kita tahu, isi Alkitab sama sekali tak menyebut tentang
keberadaan makhluk dinosaurus yang pernah merajalela di Bumi. Bahkan
sebelum abad 18 M, tak ada orang tahu bahwa dinosaurus pernah hidup di bumi=
. Beberapa orang menemukan tulang atau gigi dinosaurus, tetapi tidak menget=
ahui itu apa. Baru pada 1822, Mary Ann Mantell - isteri dokter Gideon Mante=
ll di Inggris - menemukan fosil tulang belulang, lalu diteliti secara seksa=
ma dan disimpulkan bahwa tulang belulang tersebut berasal dari hewan yang p=
ernah hidup jutaan tahun lampau.

Pembangunan museum yang digagas oleh Ken Ham dari organisasi 'Answer in Gen=
esis' ini diperkirakan menelan biaya sekira 25 juta dollar AS. Menurut peru=
sahaan riset pemasaran yang dikontrak oleh Museum of Creation, museum terse=
but diprediksi akan dijejali sekira 300,000=20
pengunjung pada tahun pertama beroperasi. Mereka optimistis angka tersebutd=
apat tercapai, mengingat begitu besarnya minat masyarakat terhadap film Jur=
assic Park yang pernah dirilis Hollywood.

Oh manusia, kalau sudah punya mau, alur kisah kehidupan - bahkan zaman pra-=
sejarah pun gampang saja dibelokkan sesuai selera yang punya uang dan yang =
punya kuasa.........

The new multi-million-dollar Museum of Creation, which will open this sprin=
g in Kentucky, will, however, be aimed not at film buffs, but at the growin=
g ranks of fundamentalist Christians in the United States.=20

It aims to promote the view that man was created in his present shape by Go=
d, as the Bible states, rather than by a Darwinian process of evolution, as=
 scientists insist.=20

The centrepiece of the museum is a series of huge model dinosaurs, built by=
 the former head of design at Universal Studios, which are portrayed as exi=
sting alongside man, contrary to received scientific opinion that they live=
d millions of years apart.=20

Other exhibits include images of Adam and Eve, a model of Noah's Ark and a =
planetarium demonstrating how God made the Earth in six days.=20

The museum, which has cost a mighty $25 million (=A313 million) will be the=
 world's first significant natural history collection devoted to creationis=
t theory. It has been set up by Ken Ham, an Australian evangelist, who runs=
 Answers in Genesis, one of America's most=20
prominent creationist organisations. He said that his aim was to use touris=
m, and the theme park's striking exhibits, to convert more people to the vi=
ew that the world and its creatures, including dinosaurs, were created by G=
od 6,000 years ago."=20

000 visitors in the first year, who will pay $10 (=A35.80) each."=20
