La serie di HD IBM tristemente famosa è la DTLA [Deskstar 75GXP], ne sono morti in percentuali altissime. In alcune server farm e data center sono usciti pazzi... qualcuno ha fatto persino le autopsie.

Il problema principale pare essere proprio il calore... cmq si vedano i seguenti articoli:

Sui 120GXP [IC35L] c'è ancora dibattito, con IBM che pare aver affermato che sono "tarati" per essere usati 333 ore al mese [quindi non sui server]; il mio fa qualche rumoretto, ma è ancora vivo dopo 6 mesi.
