I believe the disconnect originates from Cirrus not yet
realizing it doesn't need nor want to be in the software
business.  It really doesn't seem to understand how to
leverage the opensource community to its benefit.  Yet to
be fair it isn't alone in that respect.


I guess that ep93xx will be obsolete by the time their next kernel
release comes out.  (Well, some people already consider ep93xx pretty
much obsolete..)


Certainly past its prime but I don't expect it to fade
away just yet as it does still compete on price.
