Hi, Rachel,
Just thought I'd tell you how I manage with tangled hooks and chests and
stuff in TM. I never find the hook easy, but it's really a case of trial and
error here. If you here a loud bang, you're blocked. If you hear a sort of
snicking sound like a chain moving over links you're going the right way, when
you hear a definite sort of kerchunk! it's free. Before I got the hang of it
I'd have to get in and out of the water a few times and test it to see if it
would move. Another thing I got stuck with was that if a shark munches you for
dinner, when you restart playing, the hook's stil stuck and you hav to go back!
Wicked that, as nice mister shark's usually still around! Lol!
Now, chests. My hearing isn't brilliant, so with all the other sounds going
on I can never hear them creaking. I fine the best way is to move the boat
with the arrow keys, using short gentle tapps in one direction till you get
near the cliffs, waiting till you hear the buzz of the detector, when you can
then just hook em up! When the boat starts you're smack bang in the middle of
the gulf, so you'll need to look both ways. Also, if you lose a life, when
your engine restarts you're back in the middle again. I find this rather
annoying actually, as I'm methodical in my chest searching, and if I get put
back in the middle I have to retrace my steps it wastes time and I stand more
chance of running into storms! Nasty things!
Well, I hope this helps you get more out of the game. I think if you
persevere with it you'll find it as addictive as I do!
All the best
Lulu.

hi guys, i've been on the list a while but haven't really posted much. my
names rachel and i'm from the UK. my favourite games are light cars, lite
locator and blank block.
i've been trying the treasure mania game. i cant figure out how to fix the
chain when a fish breaks it. its harder than it looks to get the chests too. i
haven't got used to the sounds yet and haven't quite figured out how to get
those chests lol.
