That seems odd. Generally when you check out from git you should be
able to do ./autogen.sh && ./configure && make check and it should
all just work.
I'd been getting away with just doing "make clean" and "make". I just did the
whole thing (autogen, configure, make) and still have the same problem.
I'll keep trying to figure it out but I'm wondering if someone, in the
meantime, wouldn't mind building from the dm/simplify-passes branch of my fork
and doing the "make check" for me.
