Hello John, I was mainly interested in liblouis itself, since my intention is to automatically generate VoiceOver braille tables from the liblouis ones (I have it working without contractions; VoiceOver is the screen reader that is part of Mac OS X and ships only with "Apple American English" table). But since you said liblouisxml would be really useful, I will try to find some time to do it (it's not hard at all if it doesn't require searching for, or even writing, Mac-specific patches).
