liblouis-2.2.0.tar.gz and liblouisutdml-1.6.0.tar.gz are now on the downloads page of http://www.abilitiessoft.com Liblouis contains all the latest updates to svn and also some new functions, so that the program can set the path on which liblouis and liblouisutdml look for tables and files. These are needed in BrailleBlaster. They make the libraries completely relocatable, even on Linux. Look in the documentation in the tarball for lou_setDataPath and lou_getDataPath The documentation does need to be put in the right format. I'm not sure I can do this. Liblouisutdml is now in a much more advanced state of development. The program file2brl will work just as xml2brl does. The documentation hasn't been updated because specifications have been changing rapidly. The interface is quite different from that of liblouisxml. To see how to use liblouisutdml look at the header file liblouisutdml.h There are Java bindings, but I have to figure out how to get autotools to include them in the tarball. They are in the Mercurial repository, which you can reach via a link on the Abilitiessoft home page. liblouisxml will be undisturbed except for bug fixes. John -- John J.
